On behalf of our client, one of the leading online reservations platforms,
we are looking for an awesome Accounts Payable Manager

Job profile
Main role: Developing the accounts payable activity of the company, being part of the Finance team. The holder position has the main focus on the company commercial contracts with external providers, making sure that the financial terms and conditions are accurately applied by all parties, proposing improvements for future financial agreements.

Main responsibilities:
- Manages accounting functions including maintenance of accounts payable subordinates; ensures that all processes and functions are being run smoothly, ensures accuracy and timeliness
- Develops implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines
- Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information; ensures accuracy of financial statements
- Enters status change information into project accounting software to ensure the information is accurate and up to date
- Conducts and delivers critical analysis to internal and external customers as needed
- Identifies and communicates issues, be proactive in determining impact and proposed resolution
- Prioritizes workload for team members and set deadlines
- Provides accounting assistance to other managers and operations staff; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business need
- Acts as a liaison between the company, external accountants and providers to meet information needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained for historical purposes
- Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Address performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Motivates and rewards employees including providing salary increases, bonuses and promotions within allocated budgets and company guidelines
- Prepares and recommends operating and personnel budgets for approval. Monitors spending for adherence to budget, recommends variances as necessary.

Candidate profile
Successful experience of:
Minimum 3 years’experience on a similar position
Minimum 5 years’experience of accounting experience
Working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software

Professional background:
Educated to degree level or equivalent in economic/financial area
Good knowledge of cost accounting and a thorough knowledge of Excel
Advanced level of English (French language is a plus)
